1. Registration

Registration is now open. If you would like to attend the conference, please fill in the online registration form below. Registration will close on 15 May 2015.
Delegates will only be registered for the conference when full payment of the conference fee has been received

2. Fees

We have kept the fees as low as possible and will not make any financial profit from the conference.  The regular and student fee includes access to all conference sessions, delegate pack including a copy of the Book of Abstracts, conference proceedings, conference dinner, lunches for 2 days, coffee/refreshment breaks during the conference and all taxes. An additonal fee is required to attend the excursion. Also the hotels have offered very competitive and special rates for accommodation.

Fee rates:

Regular: 220€

Student: 120€

Excursion “Room for the river”: 50€

You will receive detailed instructions on the payment of the conference fee by email, once you submit your online registration form.

 

3. Cancellations

Cancellations or amendments notified on or before 15 May 2015 will be subject to a 25% cancellation fee. No refunds will be issued for cancellations or amendments on or after 15 May 2015. All requests for cancellations or refunds must be made in writing to the conference secretariat.
 

4. Abstract submission

KEY DEADLINES

Abstracts: 31 January 2015 (*Extended deadline*)

Notification of acceptance: 25 February 2015

Extended summary: 2 April 2015

If you would like to give a presentation then we ask you to submit an abstract. You will be notified by 25 February 2015 whether your abstract has been accepted either as oral or poster presentation. Accepted presentations are obliged to submit a 4-5 page extended summary of their presentation by 20 March 2015, which will become part of the conference proceedings and will be handed to all participants at the start of the conference. Please note that we will only include your presentation into the programme once full registration and payment of the conference fee has been completed. This should thus be done at the latest when submitting the extended summary (20 March 2015).

ABSTRACT (*EXTENDED* DEADLINE: 31 JANUARY 2015)

We welcome contributions for oral or poster presentations on the topic of river restoration. Please take account of the conference topics (see below) when submitting your abstract. Potential contributors should indicate their interest in making an oral or poster presentation by sending an abstract by 31 January 2015 following the structure shown below. The scientific committee will review all abstracts for relevance to the conference topics. Only selected abstracts are to be submitted in extended version to be included in the proceedings.

The conference language is English. No translation facilities will be provided during the event.

Please submit your abstract as a Word document via the abstract submission form. You will need the following information:

  • TITLE OF PRESENTATION (upper case letters)
  • Author(s) names (last name followed by first name and initials). Presenting author's name underlined
  • Full address(es) (no academic titles or official positions)
  • E-mail address of presenting author
  • Text of the abstract (250 word limit)
  • Oral Paper / Poster (Please indicate which is preferred)
  • Please indicate if your presentation fits into a specific conference topic

Conference topics are:

I. Assessment and rehabilitation of hydromorphological processes in rivers

II. Discerning the impact of hydromorphological modification from other stressors

III. Achievements by restoration and mitigation practices

IV. How to improve the (cost-)effectiveness of river rehabilitation?

V. Benefits of river rehabilitation and synergies with other uses (flood protection, navigation, agriculture, hydropower)

VI. Linking science to practice: tools to assess river status and guide rehabilitation to optimize river basin management

EXTENDED SUMMARY (DEADLINE: 2 APRIL 2015)

Accepted ORAL presentations are obliged to submit a 4-5 page extended summary of their presentation. The extended summary should be submitted by 2 April 2015 to the Conference Secretariat. All extended summaries will be included in the conference proceedings and handed to all participants at the start of the conference.

FULL PAPER

Once submitting your extended summary, you will be invited to express interest in a full publication for a scientific journal noting
the manuscript submission deadline will be immediately following the conference.
